when and why the hell did ford go to the 16 inch wheel and 7 lug bolt pattern ??
what was wrong with the good old 8 bolt/ 16and a half inch wheel ? now im stuck with these sorry looking 16 inch wheels on my 96 f-250..are they as strong...4 wheel drive diesel.....thanks
I don't know about strength but I think the 16" wheel doesn't have the lip inside to hold the bead of the tire on. This isn't a problem unless you run a ultra low pressure for off road or snow driving.
What vehicle are you talking about? The 7 lug wheels as far as I know only came on the light duty F-250's of the late 90's. Never herd of a diesel rig with 7 lug axles.
i'm a dope...staring at stupid hubcaps instead of wheels with 8 lugs underneath
what can you expect...im gettin' old...thanks anyway...just kicked myself in the butt...
