If you have a meter that can count frequency (kinda rare) or an oscilloscope you can check the MAP sensor just by touching the right connector in the harness. You have to look at the altitude you're actually at first.
I doubt it. You can do a check of the electrical connection. Also check the vacuum line at the sensor for gunk. Also check the rest of the vacuum line and hose.
