New Member Here!
Just found out about this site and decided to join up! Seems to be more action going on here than some other Excursion sites I've been to. We have a 2004 Mineral Grey Limited Excursion V10 with about 19,000 thousand miles. Bought it new about a year ago and love it to death!
We kinda wish we got the PSD but the price difference and what we use it for (family of 5, trips, rare towing) rendered it impractical. Pretty much loaded, leather, second row captains chairs, etc., except DVD and PSD. Only upgrades so far are a Gibson Swept-Side Catback, K&N Filter, Synthetic Oil, and Gabriel Ultra Shocks. I average about 11-12mpg city and 14-15mpg highway. Pretty much has been trouble-free except I had to replace warped front rotors at 13k (new rotors and torqueing the lugs at 165lbs. did the trick) and replaced the shocks (the shocks were OK, not the best, but wanted something a little better), however, mechanically, it has been perfect. Last fillup was about 125 bucks at 3 bucks a gallon
(We bought it when gas was about 1.99 a gallon, but we are undeterred!) We also have a Black 2005 F150 FX4 Supercrew.
We love our Ford's! Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and look forward to hanging out here! Here's a couple of pics.
