misfire code

i found the problem #7 plug missfire.when i correct this problem will the service engine light go out on it's own?

Negative. You will have to have the code cleared, your local mech can do it. AutoZone may clear them for you too, some around here do clear them, some only scan them...

Or you could just disconnect the battery for 15 min and clear them yourself.

actually disconnectiong battery for 15 minutes is not nessaccary 30 seconds will do it and make sure it's the negative terminal you run the risk of spiking the comptuer if disconnecting posotive terminal
