Evap System Leak

ON MY 97 F150 4.6L THE CEL AME ON AND I HAD IT CHECKED AT AUTOZONE. iT SAID I HAD A EVAP SYSTEM LEAK(LARGE).

NOT SURE WHAT TO CHECK FOR. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD HELP.

Tighten your gas cap.

I tried that. It's one of those 1/4 turn caps and its tight.

On my 98 I did have to replace the cap. I bought a locking cap at autozone for cheap and cleared the codes.

I had the same problem with my 2003. It had 950 miles on it. They did alot of trouble shooting and it went in two times for the same thing. They ended up replacing the purge solenoid.
