I have recently installed Ford OEM CD tape am/fm player. Works just fine.
What I don't like is when the key is turned off from ACC, the unit still plays, until you open the door. This is a factory feature I imagine. Is there a way to disable this? I find it annoying- when the key is OFF I like things to be OFF!
Thanks for any and all repies!
It is OK I guess, I'm old school - I'm in control of the equipment, etc, etc, just something else that you don't need. I can turn key back and forth really well! Thanks!
You can disable this by disconnecting the factory key switched power wire at the radio, and run the wire from the back of the radio to power at the steering coloum , there is a wire on the coloum that will power the radio in the same positions as the original wire but with out the delay. (ps: also fuse this wire)
