I have a 8.8 axle with limited slip. The Hyanes manual calls for 2oz of the modifier. The dealer only had 4oz bottles. I know this sounds like a math question but its not. Is there any negative effect if I just put all 4oz in the rear instead of wasting half the bottle? By the way the stuff smells horrible. The bottle was sealed and it still stunk up my work van. Anyway, thanks for the input.
Thanks for the info. The haynes manual said 8.8 uses 2oz and 9" uses 4oz.
I should have known better than to trust the haynes manual. That's why I asked. Since that was false, one more question. How much gear oil does the 8.8 rear hold? I have bought 3 qts since the manual states 5.7pints. And how do you measure the .7 pints out of a quart bottle? Hmmmm...... This forum is awesome. Thanks
