Tail Lights- 05 different?
Are the 05 tailights the same as the 02-04? I was looking at getting some nice carbon fiber tails, and no one mentions the 05 in the fit descriptions. I have some nice ones on my 2002 and looking to do something similar on my 05 comming in.

Altezza suggests the Excursion tail lights are the same assembly for all years.
The headlights are the same, but changed in appearance over the years, most recently from crystal to jewelled or whatever words the factory marketing brains-trust used.
As for tail-lights, on an old-fashioned looking body like the F250/Exc, the truck looks better if you just get a paint shop to put on a smoke coat, not too thick. It's cheaper, it's "custom" (especially nice on dark paint) and doesn't look like you're piecing the truck together out of Pep Boys.
And you might look at Spider Lights or other generic LED conversions that fit the factory reflector assemblies. These things can look great, especially if they're a little bit hidden behind smoked lenses.
I'm still looking for a good wiring and HID upgrade to the front. What I've found so far isn't impressive.

The headlights are different on an '05. Tail lights are the same.
What I plan on doing to my tail lights is install a set of 92-96 Econoline tail lights. These have the amber turn signals. It will take some wiring, but I think it will look cool.

Ok. Thanks. BTW, the ones I have now don't look bad at all (Cabon Fiber). They came from lightlensdotcom. The carbon fiber or new black ones would look good on my black X...I've got alot of complements. I do like the more altezza looking one that are now on eBay.
