Starting problem
I have a '96 F150 with straight six.
I've been having a problem with my truck. When I try to start it, it starts to turn over but doesn't seem to keep running. Seems like it fires a few times and dies. After many attempts at a start, it finally turns over, blowing a white cloud out of the exhaust.
For the first few minutes of running, the engine will stall if given any gas. Idle is very rough. When the engine temp comes up, all seems fine and it will restart with no problem.
So far I have replaced the cap, rotor, wires, plugs & fuel filter to no avail. Any ideas on what else may be going on here? Anything I can check?
Thanks,
-ben
