I have a 77 Datsun truck, and i want to run 49" iroks, will they fit with my 6" body lift? Also, what kind of lockers are available? Do you think my stock 4cyl and 2.73 gears will be alright?
YOur probly gonna either add more lift or do alot of cutting and no your gears would need to be atleast 4.56 gears at the minimum. and plus your axles would never hold up to those 49's and you would probly need a better Tcase.
Yo Fishy, i heard slick 50 is da bomb, is that true. I heard lift blocks are the way to lift it too, is that right?
I'd reccomend lift blocks in the 10" flavor. They will be just the ticket for running 49's. Plus, I'm sure your Datsun leaf springs are so stiff that axle wrap will not be a problem whatsoever, even with 10" blocks
Edit: be sure to run blocks on the front too, that seems to be the 'cool' thing to do these days...
remember that you are going to have to get the steering geometry corrected so to do that just cut the pitman arm in half, and weld a piece of rebar 10" long pointing down, then reweld the other half to that.

welding is overrated esp for steering parts. JB weld does good with a couple wraps of duct tape
just fab up new tie rods out of rebar, run them straight from the original pitman arm. Bend them to pretzels to make em fit. Alignment? ha who needs that.
