charcoal canister needed?
ok, so my smog pump is removed and the line to the charcoal box is gone, at least from the carb. There is one going back to the gas tank (I assume). Wondering if I can finish the job and hack this off the frame, or if I still need it for some reason.

The vapors vented from the tank go to the charcoal canister. Since the other parts are gone, you could remove it and plug the line at the top of the fuel tank. But then you will need a VENTED fuel cap - most any parts store can get you one.
