I want to remove smog and computer control from my 86 F150 with a 300,just a bunch of power robbing junk ,not to mention the sorry 1 barrel carb.what would be necesary to swap out? 4 barrel carb. distributor etc.. I tried once with a 4 barrel carb. and intake but could never get it to run well.Would I need to switch out distributor and ignition box? What would be the best parts to use.Not worried about smog checks.

 

How do I upgrade to a newer model engine? I have 1986 F150 with a carb'd 300.I want to install a 300 with fuel injection. What all does this entail? New computer etc.?
