now to my question, I have a 2002 f350 7.3.. I have about 106 thousand KM's on it. I'm just wondering when I need to do things like transmission fluid and radiator fluid changes. things like that. I change oil and oil filter every 6000 km's ..
And what other things should I start thinking about now that im getting up in the KM's.
I change my trans fluid every 30,000 miles and if your coolant isn't life time (I'm not sure on a 2002) I change that every 30,000 miles or every other year along with the coolant additive which I believe is FD 16? If you haven't changed your fuel/water filter the average time for that is somewhere between 10,000 to 15,000 miles. Hope this helps.I'm not sure miles vs km's.
Welcome to Ford Truck Enthusiasts zontral. I'm glad you found this forum too .
If your coolant is green you should change it annually, as well as charge it with a supplimental coolant addative (SCA). It used to be called FW-16 at Ford, but I think they changed the name to VC-8...but it's the same stuff. If your coolant is the gold stuff it does not require the SCA, and should be changed every 250,000Km.
At least once a year on the tranny fluid, and every 24,000Km on the fuel filter.
