My truck has been at the dealership in there shop for 3 weeks. They cannot find the problem. "Check engine light". " high temp on gauge" and the engine goes to half power. The shop keeps saying " its not throwing codes" however it is going thru coolant and oil. Nothing is leaking and nothing out the exhaust.
They have replaced the thermostat and the coolant recovery tank. I suggested the head gaskets or the intercooler. They say it is not indicating these codes. Who do I contact at Ford to get them off the stick? They are the only game in town, without a great deal of travel.
I don't have the address or phone number in front of me but your manual will have the links in it. You also can probably find them at the Ford website.
Truck returned today. "Cant repair what doesnt throw codes." says the service manager. Still they admit it uses coolant, oil, and burned up a recovery tank. 30000 miles no leaks and no evidence at the tailpipe. But if no codes, Ford cant fix!!!$%^#&-it. I will drive it with the trailer on it till it seezes. Why would I want my truck at the dealership for a total of 5 1/2 weeks. They insinuate I made it up, but still they have wittnessed the otherstuff. I just dont know. Ford Customer service is nice talking phone answerers.
Engine check engine light is on and dealership wont respond. Drove 41 miles since I picked it up from dealership. They said they cant repair what doesnt "throw a code" now the check engine light is on. Any other help would be great!!!!!
