Yes its a poor ground happens on all my old fords. Usally its just the headlight. Try wiggling the plug at the headlight it usally works for a week or so.
try scraping the connection points clean with a wire brush on the light and connection points and give it a dab of diolectic grease then find the ground and brush the buildup off of it.
if its dim always it may just need cleaning,if it flickers bad when your driving it may need a new ground connection or new ground point.

First off my Betsy was named in 1982. I get emotional when I hear the name. I love my Betsy. Yes...it could be a bad ground. It could also be one headlight that's new and one that's old. Do you need to put a new light in the other side?

It is more than the headlight. It is all the lights on the passenger side. Including the side markers, tail, brake, turn, and headlight. The back up light doesn't work, but that is a whole different subject. They are all about half as bright as the driver side.
