tranny why?

Can anyone tell me the likely cuase of my c6 tranny all of
a sudden starting to shift into gear at a higher speed than
before? roughly 10 t0 15 mph higher, it also still shifts smooth as before. all i did when this started was replace the
vacume modulator and didnt seem to help.

The vacuum modulator can be adjusted. When one goes bad you tend to get tranny fluid in the vacuum line and if it's bad enough the engine may smoke from the fluid.

How would you adjust a vacume modulator? When i removed and
installed the thing it looked as if it was a single unit with an o ring. And yes i did have alittle trans fluid come out the vacume line, and the vacume pressure seemed as though it was working.
And since i first posted the speed at which it shifts from 2nd to 3rd has dropped about 5mph. maybe a good flush is in order.

If there is still tranny fluid in that vacume line, the vacume that the module sees will be varying. You may get full vacume at one time, and then the fluid might block something ang you will only get part vacume the next. You can either let the fluid work itself out, or flush the line, or just replace it.
