New Exhaust
What is the largest turbo back down pipe I can install on an 06 PSD and where can I get it? I would like to install at least a 5" turbo back straight exhaust system if possible

as I understand it, 3.5" down pipe is the largest you can go without smacking the firewall. you have to start beating the firewall back to do anything larger...dont even know if you could force a 5 incher in there.

you probably could but you would hate it, i have a 4 inch and it rubs on the firewall constantly and makes a vibrating noise under the dash, and as for the 5 inch straight pipe, i would advise against it, i dont know how many people ive talked to that have straight piped them and after a little while put a muffler on, they run so much better with a little back pressure. I run a turbo back system, 4 inch, with a magnaflow muffler and i love it

If you want 5 inch for the looks of it go for it! If you are getting it for flow and EGT drop save your money a 4.0 system with a 3.5 inch down pipe will get you sufficient CFM flow up to 500RWHP. We did tests at MBRP on 4.0 down pipes etc and there just wasn't any EGT drop over a 3.5 as the VRT turbo does it thing etc. Call us if you have any questions we'll be lgad to help you. We stock all the MBRP systems and can get you into a 6 inch tip on a 4 inch system that gets you the look of a 5 inch if that's what you're after etc.
