Goin' Up

hmmmmm, it's that time of year again, the trucks's getting a new bed, fenders, PAINT.

But....... it's lacking something............ A LIFT

so i've got thinking, i can get coils made for free,

I'm going probally 2-3" lift up front so no need for drop axle brackets, i think.

But i'm going to the junk yard, how much will F350DRW springs lift me? out back that is. I want a truck ride.

So i have access about anything, what do i need to do to get 2-3" of lift? I have pick of the yard.

Mabey 4 outback.

I gotta make a list cause this weekend i'm doing it.

Just be careful putting too many springs in the back of your ride. Too many springs in the back could cause the stiffest ride you've ever seen and could even cause the frame to develop cracks around the spring hangers. I had this happen to a 1990 Blazer I had. Instead of a lift block or even the right springs to lift the rear, the P.O put a HUGE leaf spring on each corner from I think a 1-ton to lift up the rear. When I changed them out I noticed cracks around the upper shock mounts and near the hangers. It sure rode better after I swapped them out to.

Yea but look at the back of Chev's frames, they narrow to about 4" where the bend up for the axle.

I have a 5 day weekend off school, so i got some time
