Talking Transmission Rebuild

Well, I dropped off my baby today to get the transmission rebuilt. Shes a 94 f150 single cab 5.0, with the A4OD trans. It had 116,410 miles on her, and I'm the third owner, so it's served its purpose. It started slipping about a month ago, on and off for a few weeks. I had the fluid drained and fliter replaced, that helped for like 2 weeks. Then, the other night it wouldnt go from second to third, so i let off the gas, then it switched gears. I parked it then and got rides after that. Then today, I drove to Cartrans, in Stafford, Texas, and dropped it off with a good friend of mine, the owner. It was a tough time getting there too, constantly slipping and just plain performing badly. The good news. . . I'll have her back by friday. With completely new and rebuilt tranny, torque converter, transmission oil cooler, and possibly? a shift kit. I'll post pics when i get her back. MAN I can't wait !!!

How did your rebuild go? How much did it cost by the way? Just dropped off my expedition with about the same symptoms.

Make sure you install a aux tranny cooler for your new tranny properly! Also if you are running big tires with stock axle ratios, you are not doing your tranny any favors, new or used.
