wow just put the diablo in and set it at 85 HP....WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW what a diff firmed up the shifts alot...this thing is awesome...guy at the dealer told me not to worry about guages...have the kwik mod and straight pipe from turbo to tail....LOVE IT!
don't listen to the guy who said you don't need gauges... he's wrong... and you are gambling with the health of your truck... all that extra fuel you are dumping that is making all that extra power make alot of extra heat very quickly...! i run the predator tuner as well and i have gauges so i know EXACTLY what i am talking about...!

I would definately back everyone else. You need gauges! Even if you hav nothing done I would still install gauges just so you know what is going on with your motor.
just so you know, with the diablo set on the 85hp setting, i can get the egts up to 1200 within SECONDS..! even running the tow tune while pulling the 5ver, it is EASY to get the pyro gauge up over 1100... the bottom line is, without a gauge you have NO IDEA where your temps are, that's not a good idea even if you are running bone stock while towing a heavy load... now... you are dumping a ton of extra fuel and making all that power... be real careful man... blowing up a perfectly good psd is a hanging offense around here..!
Johnny8 have you tried towing with the factory stock tune just to see what it does for EGT?
actually i did... on the way back from vacation... just to see if i still had the turbo flutter/stall with the stock setting... i did, but not as bad... the egts were a bit lower, but i wasn't towing up any hills at the time so it was not a good comparison... i had to pull over though a install the tow tune again because my mule was so down on power i couldn't stand it anymore...! this is the power of the darkside, and once you start down the path of tuners and chips... man that power is ADDICTIVE...! even if you just use the tow tune, (i run on the 85hp tune for my dailly driving..!), if you go back to the stock tune for any reason you really can't stand it for long... it just turns the truck into a complete dog..! no pep, no zip, no acceleration, no torque, no smoke...! i do not like stock, i do not like power lock, i do not like to go slow, i do not like no go, i do not like the stock plan, i do not like it sam i am...!
