Well folks , I'm really getting into this fixit frame of mind---I rece'd my rebuild kit from 4xheaven with all the seals and bearings for the np205-----I just finished welding up the "cradle"(thank you Mr.Oxley , sir) to allow me to drop the 205 by my self----I am now ready to take all 3 driveshaft(s) loose!!!----------Do I need to mark them in some form or fashion----is there SOME important fact that I should be aware of before their removal???????I'm NOT a great mechanic but I can usually connect the dots if I'm interested in what I'm doing and I have alittle help along the way..........I'll just wait till one of you experienced 205 removal experts tells me its ok to proceed!!!!thanks too all who give their knowledge away freely , fd :-X11
Some cars might get a vibration if they arent lined up like they came off.Not that youd notice another vibration on an old Ford!It doesnt hurt to just mark a line down the end of the shaft and the yokes on the case or axles.Thats the easiest way,just line them back up and your all good.Another idea is wrap elec. tape around the u-joints to keep the needle bearings in place if your going to reuse them.
