Advice

I bought a 2000 f-350 psd about a year ago from a dealership near my home. The truck is a manual with gauges, a huge exhaust system, and a k&n intake system. I have loved the truck. No major problems to speak of and I wouldnt trade it for the world. When I bought the truck, the add said it was chipped. I got looking and couldnt find the chip anywhere. I was having some routine maintenance done at a local shop that specialized in diesels and asked if they could tell what, if any mods had been done as far as chipping. They said there was no chip butit was probably programed. It definatley wasnt stock. I tried to get ahold of the guy who traded it into the dealership but no luck. Should I just buy a new programer or is there something else I should do? I am not very familiar with the chips and programers so any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

Thanks, kelly Manley

when they say it has been "chipped" it has been reprogrammed with an aftermarket programmer that does not stay in the truck. If it runs fine and you like it, no need to reprogram back to stock. If you are concerned about it not being stock, you can have the dealership program it back to stock, you will lose power though.
