need clutch help
The clutch is going fast and the olny place i have to work is out in the boonies so multiple parts runs are going to be difficult. I know the engine is not original to the truck but i don't know if its a 79 engine or not.
I see clutches listed for for 73-77 and 78-79. whats the differeces between them? and will it matter if the engine is a 77 or a 79?
i'd like to put a flywheel in it too.
any help would be great, I'm new to this ford stuff.

The clark 4 spd overdrive was used in 80-86 models.
I have also seen it referenced as the "Ford TOD 4-speed".
This transmission seems to have gearing like the old
Ford 3.03 3 speed with an additional overdive gear, but
the transmission itself is much smaller and lighter
than the 3.03 or the NP435. It is a "top loader" style
and all the linkages and rails are internal. I have one
of these transmissions in my 86 F-150 4x2 behind a I6-300.
The overdrive gear isn't worth a glob of high-speed snot
in the mountains of Pennsylvania, but it makes for a
good highway cruising unit.
