No Electrical Power!

I thought I would post here, since it looks like that is what my problem is turning into.
Here's the story.
I drove my Bronco II from Eau Claire, WI to Greenville, MI. No problems on the whole trip always started, no warning lights or anything. I stop before arriving home and gas it up. Go to leave and No Start. Like battery low and dome light was dimming. Tried jump starting, but would barely crank over.
Today. I install/service the following
1. Charged up battery at work, didn't need much and past load test.
2. Install new Starter relay
3. Install new Pos. cable from battery to relay, old one looked wore out.
Heres what I get.
No Power or Electrical. NO head lights or anything
I bypass the starter relay and touch the pos. cables together and the starter cranks over.
I took a wire and jumped from the small post on the starter relay to the pos. terminal on the battery and the starter cranks over.
Thinking maybe a fusible link or something.
What do you guys think?
I could really use your help.
Thanks,
Shiny

There should be some fusible links coming off point #3 in the diagram above. Point #3 is where the power for the whole bronco is tapped off the battery +. There should be some smaller wires located at that point.

Thats what I was thinking, I'll pick up a test light tomorrow and see where I have and dont have power. The link wouldn't always show up as being melted, would it?
Thanks,
and thanks for the diagram.

Visually it may not look bad. Some people pull on them from either side, and if they stretch, they are burnt in two.
