1983 351w ignition problems

I can't start my Bronco.
I am getting fuel to the carb for shure... so,
I pulled out one of my spark plugs and attached the plug wire back on and had my wife turn the key and no spark... so then I replaced the ignition module 20 bucks and the coil 20 bucks... and still no spark from the plug, so I know that the reason that the bronco wont start is still an ignition problem.
I pulled the distributer cap off and had my wife turn the key and the rotor rotated properly.... I used a wire brush on the cap and roter terminals and hooked it all back up and still no spark out of the plug that I pulled out...
I am reading in my (Haynes) manuel " this book is so hard to understand...
and I make a good living working on jet engines... anyways.... can any one tell me where the "Ballast Resistor" is located so I can try to change that ...
also. is there and where is the inline ignition fuse? those are two pretty good answers that I need... Ive been through a lot of beers and still cant figure the darn thing out just yet so I appologize for the spelling and grammer...
I know that I need to check the ohms coming from my coil so tomorrow I will try to borrow one from work. but that still doesnt help being that I am an ideot when it comes to electronics.... ( I set my old Blazer on fire...) ask my wife...

any ways.... if y'all got through this book that I just wrote.. then thanks for any sugjestions that you can offer...

If you pulled the spark plug out completely you will not see any spark unless the plug is laying against some metal part of the truck that is well grounded. The plug must be grounded for the spark to jump across from the electrode to the grounding hook.

okay, that makes sense...
I had it laying on top of my fan shroud.
I will definetely try again, this time with the plug laying on a good ground...

I still need to know where the Ballast Resistor and the inline ignition fuse are located.
Please if anyone knows or has a pic...

no matter what I do, I cant get my bronco started...
I replaced the ignition mod,
the coil,
the spark plugs,
and the rotor and distributer cap.
I am stumped right now and the book isnt helping at this moment...
any sugjestions would be greately apreciated....
I know that I am getting fuel because when I replaced my plugs they were wet and smelt like fuel... it has to be a spark problem.....

Have you put a multi meter or a volt meter on the pos side of the coil or on the ing module to make sure they're getting power? I'm not sure where your inline ignition fuse is, but it's more than likely a fuseable link within the wire, not an actual fuse, I may be wrong on this though. I would start on what I mentioned in the begining of my post, and then move on from there.
