Bad engine break in advice....
I was reading the Haynes repair manual yesterday. In the engine overhaul section it stated the procedure for breaking in a new motor was to start it, warm it up, set the timing and drive it. (more or less) I have read, and have been told by various sources, that you have to keep the RPM's up over 1500 for the first 15-30 minutes to break the cam in. How long would the motor last breaking it in the way they describe??
