Smile No heat?

Hello, everybody. I am new here but would appreciate some help. I have a 98' Ford Explorer. Recently since it has gotten cooler, I have tried to use the defrost. When I set it to defrost or heat in any way all that comes out is cold air, no matter what temp., I have it set on. I tried putting it on 90 degrees on direct heat to come out the dashboard and it still blew out cold air. Can anyone help me to know what the problem is? Everything else is running fine and it is not running hot at all.

Thank you in advance.

Take a look at the Free Blend Door fix sticky note at the top of the forum list. Not sure if this is your problem but it sure sounds suspect to me.

I agree, especially if the heater hoses are getting hot.

If the hoses are not hot check the valve in the hoses -if it has one- and make sure it's opening.

Wink No heat?

Thanks for the suggestion. I am not sure what it is, but I will find someone to help me with this, and I'll find out, but I hope it works. I had called the local Ford dealership and they had mentioned the pulinum, and I saw that mentioned in there, so that is probably what it is.

Again thanks for your help,
Angi (b1a2)
