i did a google search, and here is what i came up with.
looks overpriced to me, whatever it is. plus it has a K&N filter= bad. i would recommend a Kwik Filter. it is a www.fleetfilter.com part number 46637. check my gallery "my truck" and there is a picture of the massive filter there. alot of people here have that and love it. i know i do.
Ditch the K&N and retrofit the 6637 on there and it would look really good under the hood!
That's exactly what I was thinking. Do you think that you'd have to shorten down the pipe a little or is the K&N the same length as the 6637?? I went to the Toucan site and downloaded the PDF catalog and I couldn't find anything for the 7.3.....????????? Link anyone??
from what everyone in here says, you have two really good choices for the 7.3:
the "quick filter" setup.. fleetfilter's wix 46637 filter, really good flow and decent filtering for cheap money
or
the ford AIS setup... basically the stock setup for the new 6.0, (ford knew the stock filter setup for the 7.3 was JUNK, so they just put the "severe duty" system on the new model so they could cut down on all the warranty claims the old intake was causing..)
I have had nothing but bad luck trying to find anything about this thing. Alot of online places sell it, but per usual have very limited info on it. I bought this thing for $131.95. I am very interrested in the (upgrade) in the filter. As these K&N type filters allow many many microns. How about a pre-filter for now. Again thank you. Ford trucks rule.
I'm very interested in this product too. If it's aluminum mandrel bent then how could it be bad?? Is the intake from the turbo all the way back from the turbo or does the piping go about half way to the filter??? I would HIGHLY recommend swapping out the K&N and ordering the 6637. IF you happen to find any info as to a web address or anything please post or PM (private message) me.
Hey guys, I finally found the site. It must have just been added to the google search because I searched today and the toucan intake for the powerstroke came up. Here's the link: http://coldairintakeshop.com/toucan~...p~coldair.html It's only $121 and with free shipping
yeat, I would be PO-ed if I were you. That was really some false advertising. All of their intakes in the catalog feature a good amount of aluminum piping. So all you got was the filter and the heat shield?? I think that $120 is a little expensive for just that.
