PIE Adapter?
Hey Guys, I am not much into car audio beyond basic stuff so here goes. I have a Pioneer DEH-16 aftermarket head unit. I just purchased a Roady 2 xm radio and have it all mounted up and am throughly enjoying. The problem I am having with it is the internal fm modulator. I would like clearer sound but would like to stay away from the fm modulators, my dad has one of them plug in the lighter socket and hang off the dash things that sounds worse than my internal modulator. My hu has a set of rca preouts, would a pie adapter work with those or are they only for use with an amp? I am also willing to try other fm mods. if I cant use an adapter, but would like one that is close to direct wiring sound if possible, in other words, one thats worth the money. Thanks for any help, my only other option would be to reinstall the factory radio to use the cass. adapter.
