I have a 1978 F-150 4x4. I was looking for a lift kit on the skyjacker site and according to that site I already have a 4" lift. What I mean by that is: Their site states that to clear 33" tires you have to have 4" of lift. I have 33's. So, how can I tell if my truck is lifted or not?
Matt, if you could get us a measurment from the top of the tires to the bottom of the fender, or post a picture of your truck, we would be able to tell you if you have a lift kit or not. You can fit 33's with a stock F150, BUT that doesnt mean the truck doesnt have a small lift on it.
Matt, Ihave a 78 F-150 with a skyjacker 4" lift and 35's. When my truck was stock, it would fit 33's. Go for the lift, you won't be disappointed. My truck handles on-road much better than stock, even though it sits 7" higher and I'm running mud tires. I'm considering another 2 or 3 inches (body lift) and 37's, but Ill need steeper gears. $$$
I have a 78 F-150 4x4 Lariet, I have a 3" Skyjacker Softride and 2" body lift, looks like I could toss 38's under it, I have 35x12.50's on it, has more room.
The pic was with 35x15.50 TSL's. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member.../413228_11.jpg
