man... i've been up climbing around on the engine a few times already... i know all about climbing down to catch your breath and wipe the sweat out of your face..! sucks..! but, having to back out of the throtle while climbing those hills this weekend sucked worse..!
Just make sure you get the taped screwdriver toward the inner part of the exhaust turbine vanes, that is where the vanes are strongest. Remember when tightening the new wheel, snug is good enough, it self-tightens under normal operation, don't want to F-up that exhaust turbine trying to tighten the intake side too much. PM me if you have any specific questions, but it looks like you're all set!
Hey Johnny....i can't wait to see your reaction when you get it done....your reactions are always.....most amusing good luck with that. hope it goes without a hitch.

Will they WW compliment the ATS housing or is it pointless to do both?
If you can afford it, go with the ATS housing only.
I've done both. If I had to do it over again I would go with just the ATS housing. Replace it while the turbo is on the truck, eliminates the surge completely and it has a 4" inlet from the air box to the compressor.

i would like to have done that, but it is too much money right now... i did use the price of the ats housing to justify the cost of the ww to the wife..!

Whatever works for you and the Mrs.....................
Whatever works for you and the Mrs.....................
sometimes getting a mod purchase past the wife is all a matter of how your "frame" the decision... comparing the mod you want to do to a mod that is much more expensive is one way to do it..!
it helped that she was in the truck when i was having this problem and she was able to hear it for herself and see how i had to back out of the throtle when i needed it most... this way she knows that the problem with the truck is not some fictional problem that i am making up just so i can buy another mod..! btw... that works too..!
well... the good news is i got the new compressor wheel..! the bad news...? it's supposed to rain starting tommorow night right through next tuesday...! uuugggghhh..!

What...you planning on taking the hood off? It's not raining under there.
Besides, it's not an all day project....couple of hours tops.
