parking brake adjustment?
My parking brake pedal goes all the way down, so I was doing a bit of searching on how to adjust this. I found quite a bit of information, but none seems to apply. I was under the truck this morning. What a beautiful day to tinker around. I have the dealer do the adjustment at each service and they charge $36 to do it. While I am not opposed to paying to have it done (doing my part to keep the economy moving!), I always did it myself on my older Ford cars. My Torino had a sort of turnbuckle in the middle of the cables. Really easy to do. I would help dad with the Tbird and he would turn a star wheel on the inside of the brake assembly with the wheels off. We could also do it with the wheel on through a little oval slot on the back plate. I am probably missing something simple.

Your parking brake is adjusted just like you adjust drum brakes. While the rear brakes are disc the emergency brake is a set of small drum brakes located in the middle of the rotor. You adjust the brakes through a slot in the backing plate using a brake adjusting spoon.
