hey i want to update my 1949 f-1 flat six to a v-8 but dont know what way to go.....i'd like big block power but i dont like the big block parts cost, i was thinking a 302 from a mustang but then i got thinkin (as dangerous as that sounds) and dreamt of a fuel inj. engine and how awesome it would be but also how much work it would take......so if anybodys got some input, fire away .

The 302 would the easiest.

Next up a 351.

With the 302, you could go stock Mustang, or do the 347 stroker thing.

With the 351, you could go with the 392 or 393, or even 427.

A "mild" efi 427 would be very interesting.....
