The stock 73 F250 4x4 should be a divorced NP205 2speed TC.
>and how do i get it to quite moving so bad when i use
>the gas ?
I don't understand the question here, but you should be starting in 2nd gear (assuming 4 speed) with TC 2HI for street driving. Whats the actual problem your having?

I've heard about other TC's in these years, but never thought they were stock. My NP205 had a tag screwed onto the front part. It's about 2" x 3" and light blue with 4 screws in it. I'd look for a tag on yours. Maybe someone swaped something around.
i do start in second due to granny low what im saying is my whole t case is moving under the torque like relly bad i do have a small plate pinned to my t case what exactly does this mean thanks again
One of two things eather the transfercase is loose from the adapter in which case you need to find out why. Or the second and more likly is your motor mounts are bad. Try opening the hood set your parking brake and giving it a little gas with it in gear watch the air cleaner on the eng. if the engine moves and looks like its trying to climb out you have bad motor mounts if just the transfercase shifter moves it or somthing hooked to it is loose. Hope this helps.

The single speed T-case should be Dana-21. They are pretty good, but will break if spin the wheels too much in sand or mud, it will break even faster if it transferring the torque from a fresh 'built' 390...
Are you sure the whole thing is moving, or is it just the shifter, the only reason I ask is that my shifter would move around and rattle when under load. It turned out to be caused by some slack in the linkages. Hope this helps.
the stick moves a little but if i let off the gas and hold the shifter then give it gas it kicks my hand back real hard cause it moves the stick so hard this is all under moving conditions so if my transfer case only has 2wheel and 4wheel on it that means i have a what? thanks for helping
the transfer case you have is a dana 21.
they came in ford half tons between 69-76.
sounds like you need to replace your tranny and transfer case mounts, possibly your engine mounts too. it should not move that much.

Have you tried this while driving in 4-wheel drive? See if the symptoms are the same or if they differ from 2 to 4 wheel drive.
>so if my transfer case only has 2wheel and 4wheel
>on it that means i have a what? thanks for helping
This means you have 2-high and 4-high, you don't have a low range. As I said before it is most likely dana-21 T-case. Although I thought that they only put them in half-tons. It is possible that someone swapped this in your truck. If so, the maybe the shifter symptoms are an alignment issue. Just speculation here, trying to think of things for you to check out...
