I bought a 1979 F150 4x4 last Nov. from a guy I went to high school with. He used ot to haul his fire wood, and he bought it at a used car lot, some grandpa had owned before. Any way it is a Custom package with a 300 6cy, 4spd (435 np tranny), and a part time transfer case, with Stock Ford manual hubs. Great little truck. Its Black with red interior. Most Customs are pretty basic trucks but this one includes the following: Red headliner with chrome trim, hood key lock, under dashlights, ashtray light, glovebox light, door map pockets, sport three spoke steering wheel, tweed/vinyl seat,AM radio, slide out spare tire carrier, rear bumper is chrome , not the step bumper, but like what you see on 78/70 Broncos, 10 slot aluminum rims with black caps,chrome molding with rubber insert,chrome wheel well molding, tailgate has no chrome molding, just white FORD letters,sliding rear glass, under hood light when hood is up, under the F150 Custom emblem on the crowl is a black plastic label on both sides of the truck and on the rear upper left part of the tailgate, I can no longer read the emblem, I was wandering if ford made a special custom package that was loaded like this one? Or was this just a show room truck with all the bells and whistles? Any one seen a fancy custom like this?
