have you used a sledge hammer? or combined heat, AND beating? try that and you might just get it off.

Sometimes if you leave the lug nuts loose and drive the vehicle with some sudden stops and turns the wheel will break loose. That might get dangerous in a tractor tho. There are lots of tractor people that visit the general automotive forum so I will move your post there for more ideas.

Whenever we have a tire or rim that wont come off, we use a hydralic spreader and if it doesnt pop it right off, it puts enough pressure on it that you can hit it with a big hammer and then it will pop off!

I wish i had a hydraulic spreader lol.... I am going to try and take the tire off and take straps and tension them to pull on the wheel and then hit it with a sledge hammer and heat it. I can't drive it because the shifter is messed up....

I'm assuming you are talking about a lawn tractor. If so, make sure there is not a snap ring that holds the hub on the axle shaft.

I checked and it is most definately not a snap rin, e ring, or c clip. The shaft is tapered at the end and then has two flat sides on oposite sides to hold the wheel

Oh I just thought of another idea, tie a chain around the rim, hook the other end up to your truck, and drive away that might be more of a last resort type idea though

i am SO close to just tying the rim to the 350's tow hook and yanking it backwards.....SO CLOSE. This wheel sure doesn't to come off AT ALL....nothing has ever put up such a fight...Worked on it for 2 hours today and it didn't even budge....Any other ideas?

Well folks...I got some bad news... decided to make sure 4wd worked on the super duty , put it in 4 low, tied the wheel to the front tow hook, tied the other axle end to the explorer's trailer hitch, put the tranny in R then let the truck idle backwards....until POP....got out hoping to find the wheel popped off....NOPE....The wheel is stuck to the shaft so good that it popped one of the bolts i had holding it together off and took a little chunk of the axle houseing off.... NOW WHAT...the shaft isn't bent but the housing has seen better days...
