Arrow turn signal question

Hello, 1977 f150. The turn signals do not turn off after you make a turn. Is this an easy fix? I took the steering wheel off but couldn't really tell what was not working.

Any help would be apreaciated.

Sounds like turn signal switch needs replaced. It's really pretty easy. It has it's own "wiring harness" attached. Everything just plugs in. Pretty common problem, I guess. Took me about 30-45 minutes start to finish. A Haynes manual makes it even easier. Depends on the application, but they can run from about $50-120. I got lucky and found a $97 switch for $56 at a little mom-and-pop parts store. Don't think I'd go junkyard for electrical unless they guarantee it. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first, and the dielectric grease on your connections. Have fun! P.S. The prices were for the switch, not the book.

Cool, thanks for the input. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to buy the whole switch but if that's what it needs then I will get it. Thanks again!

The local autoparts store here had the fix for me. It was not the switch, but only the plastic cancel cam that needed replacing. I found it at Kragen autoparts in the "Help" brand section..

Good luck!
