I have reacently purchased a new 2006 F250SD. It is equiped with upfitter switches in the dash. Great, now I can hood up my off road lights! Just one problem, the wire leads that the owners manual states should have the 30amp or 10amp output when you activate the switches are dead. No power. Does any one out there know the location of the output leads from the upfitter switches? Thanks for the help.
Your post is a little confusing but here goes. To access the correct wires, pull the dash panel under the steering column, remove the 4 bolts from the fuse box, pull to box out a little and you should find the 4 upfitter wires with black heat-shrink over the ends. Hope this helps.
I think I saw a link to a Ford bulletin that described how to convert the upfitter switches to work with the ignition switch turned off. Am I correct, if anybody has it, would they repost? Thanks, John
