Dip in idle??

Dip in idle??
I noticed that when in neutral or park and I rev the motor, when the rpm's are dropping back to idle speed, the tach dips way down below my normal idle. The truck sounds like it is going to die out. The volt gauge drops and all the lights get dim for a second before it catches itself and goes back to normal idle speed. Any ideas what would be causing this?? Thanks.

You could check and clean the IAC mine did this same thing when it went bad or was rather gummed up

It's the idle air control or bypass idle air speed control, it controls the amount of air that bypasses the throttle body, it is mounted on the throttle body with 2 bolts, if it's just carbon build up it can be cleaned eith carb cleaner, you can check the resistance with the electrical connecter disconnected, the resistance should be 7 to 13 ohms
