Little help??
I recently purchased a 1979 F-150 supercab longbox. The current setup is a 460 driving a c-6 transmission, and solid front axles front and rear. I know that the 460 is not from the factory, but I was wondering if there is any way the solid front axle is? I have been told both yes and no by friends, but nothing definate. Thanks.

Yep, stocker, Dana 44-(9F I think), should be a high pinion unit. This was the last year for 'em in a 150, in '80 they went with a twin beam type. The c-6 is most likely stock also as the 460 is basically a bolt-in conversion.
