Driveshaft

I was wondering if any would know if I would need a longer driveshaft if i get a 4in suspension lift on my truck. Thanks

I have a 90 F-150 short bed and standard cab.

As far as I know, it should be ok. But if you do need one, it may be just as good to get a longer one and take it to a machine shop and have it cut and balanced.

you could also shim the spring pads a few degrees to lift your pinion angle some. most all 4wd places sell degree shims.

you should be fine with a 4 inch. are you gonna do a kit, or are you gonna do a shackle flip?

I was gonna get the whole kit and new leaf springs for the rear not those retarted blocks

good choice,stay away from the blocks. you should be fine.

I have a 6" lift and don't require a longer driveshaft. When you've got a reg cab/short bed, than you're wheelbase is shorter and on a 6" lift you'd need a longer driveshaft, but on a 4" lift you're ok.
