LMC's Lowering "springs"

Got my new LMC catalogue about a week ago, and while flipping through it I came across 2" lowering springs for 73-79. If there isn't to much bending involved would this be a feasable bolt on?

Ryan, Installing coils is pretty easy. Unbolt the shock, the spring retainer clamp and jack up the truck. Unbolt the bottom clamp and pull the spring out. You will need a 1 7/8ths deepwell 1/2 inch drive socket for the big nut but thats about it. Not 100% sure about the size on the deepwell.

Thanks, but I think I was a little vague in my question. A while back I ran through the whole lowering thing with you guys, and the idea of putting shorter springs on my '79 was agreed to be a bad idea. Back then I was only looking at 1" versus this 2" spring. I guess I was wondering what they might have been thinking when these springs got produced?
