What is this part?
on my 79 F250 there is something that looks like a tin can mounted on the inner fender just left of the washer reservoir. Is this the wiper motor? It's black, shaped like a tin can and has a single hose running out of it? Anybody know what this is?

It's a Vacuum canister.
It's on there to keep a proper amount of vacuum in the system.
For emissions &
Does you truck have power brakes or cruise control?

What is this part?
It's registered in WI plates so i don't have to take emissions, no cruise control. I'm dropping in a new 400, do i need this since i don't have to take emissions? It has rear drums and disc fronts.
