AOD trans conversion

Ive got a '78 f150 with a 400 and a c6 and I want to put a AOD trans in, the c6 is ready to go. I know there is an article for this conversion for broncos but is it possible in my truck? any help would be great

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe the AOD's only fit up to small block engines.

art carr is offering a aod conversion for the 460. the bell housing bolt patterns for the 351m/400 and the 460 is the same, right... you might want to give them a call.
