I beleive the frames are quite different as the 4WD is straight from the front to rear of the frame with no dips or bends in the frame under the bed and the 4WD is also thicker to accomadate the transfer case. The wheelbase is different also as the 4WD is 120in and the 2WD has a 122in wheelbase. I have both frames to check for certain for you if you need me to make certain on these issues but I am 99% sure they are very different. By the way, I am restoring a 1964 F100 4x4 at the moment (and nearly completed) if you have any other questions you may need answered. Hope this info. is helpful to you. Lewis
