Ford dealer, Firestone, ????

I have recently had a lot of shaking issues with the '01 Ex. I brought it to the Ford dealer, and they said they checked pinion angles, the balance of the shaft, rear differential, and many other things. They also road forced balanced the wheels and identified the two rear as being out of balance. Me, still not a believer had them put 4 new wheels and tires from a fresh '05 onto my rig, and the shake was gone. So, I go to Firestone for two new Revos. They confirm that yes the two rears are out of round and replace them, rebalance and drive, and it STILL shook like hell. Firestone then put the two rears to the front and fronts to rear, and now it does not shake. They also kindly mentioned that I had one upside down shock. (heat+exhaustion+do it yourself= upsidedown shock) OK, no biggy. Two questions for you all, why would simply putting the rears to the front and vise versa get rid of the dreaded 60-65mph shake? Also, how can I trust what the dealer checked, when they didn't ever tell me one shock was upside down?? What do you think? (3 quetions, sorry) Thanks, Tom
