Problem with Tailgate
I have a 04 Scab, wife took the truck put tailgate down, now it won't go back up. Seems like something is out of adjustment, anyone have this problem before , etc.. I will be taking it to the dealer for fix.

sounds like maybe something with the assist spring. The spring is internal so if you don't see any visible problems on or around the gate than one would assume it would have to be involving the spring mech.

The truck is at the dealership right now, let you know when I get it back. PS I mentioned to them that there was a squeak when I applied the brake or gas peddle, and sometimes when I turn the wheel, does not happen all the time. They are going to replace the peddle assembly, evidentely there is a service bulletin out on this, and they are to replace, just passing the info on.

Well they replaced the electric peddle assembly, no more noises, and they ordered new springs, etc. for the tailgate. Apiece of nylon (plastic) came out on the one end of the tailgate causing the hinge, for lack of the proper terms, to come undone and bind. Scenduled for the fix and paint next week. Great dealership, no complaints from me.
