427 SOHC clearance issue
I have an 85 f-150 was wondering if anyone knew if the heads would clear the heater box and numerous other things. don't want to have to hack anything to put it in if so will put motor in something else

If you are serious, you are undoubtedly the first to do it, so you'll just have to get out the measuring tape. Since you will be fabricating everything related to motor mounts and exhaust, you can position the engine wherever you want it.

Surely to god your not going to put a cammer in a truck?
That is a rare engine that would do much better (money) in a vintage car. There are guys that will sell you their wife and kids for that motor.

That said, take some measurements. That's all I can tell you. Get out there with your tape measure and go to town.
Never mind what I just said. The cammer sucks, all that timing chain is a PITA. Worthless motor. I'll at least give you the $100 it's worth in scrap iron. I've got a very nice, narrower 390 I'd let you have in exchange too!

You dont need a heater box with a Cammer anyway!!! You'll get enough Heat from the Ford Guys you show it too!!!
The motor is worth 10 times what the Truck is!!! LOL... I meen I love my old 70 F250, but I wouldnt waste a Cammer on it!!
Sell the Truck and Buy an Old Fairlane 66-67or So and do it right!! JMHO!!!

Well first of all you would need 30k and I already have a 427 sohc in my 65 falcon my grandfather used to race. The other one was a blown motor out of the same car, that I have not finished rebuilding yet not enough money. and no neither are for sale
