Front Bucket Seats

I am restoring my 89 Bronco and am not sure what I should do about my seats. I have two options. The first is to get new upholstery. I received a quote for new upholstery for the front buckets and the rear bench of $650-$800 depending how much rebuilding of the springs and foam padding is needed. The other option is to buy aftermarket seats from someone like Bronco Graveyard or Smitybuilt. If I do this does anyone know if they will work with tip/slide front seat mechanisms? Any help would be appreciated.

if you were to buy aftermarket you should be able to use the same mechanisms but may require you to drill some holes in the seats and or brackets to attatch the seats properly. do a search on here for seats . there are a few guys that have done this using various car seats like mustang seat etc...

You can also look around in some salvage yards. You never know what you will find there. May find something in pretty good shape that need very little work.

If you look in my gallery you can see some mustang seats I put in my rig. They were attached to the Bronco sliding rail. They seem to work fine so far.
