hello,
I was just wondering who you guys used for your leaf springs. I'm starting a new project and was looking to lift it around 10 inches, all suspension. The truck in question is a 77 supercab camper special that I luckily found a 4wd frame for and am in the process of gathering up parts for. I would like to clear 40's with out having to cut the fenders. Any help would be greatly appreciated .
thanks
the truck in question is a 77 supercab f-250 2wd camperspecial. I purchased a 78 or 79 supercab 4wd frame that is from a 250. Axles will be from a 78 f-250, high pinion 44 front 60 rear, thanks
You will either need custom springs made or a combination of production lift springs and custom drop hangers/shackles or a shackle flip in the rear. Look at my suspension gallery for some ideas. Either way you go about it you're looking at some custom suspension work that will require some fabrication. You don't need to buy suspension parts that are specific to a Supercab, the Supercab F250 and regular cab 78/79 F250 used the exact same springs. I haven't found anything over 6" springs made for these trucks. FWIW I'm using 6" Skyjacker Superduty springs up front and 4" Skyjacker springs in the back. Also, be sure you do some research on crossover steering as it will be necessary for a 10" lift.
jus ttought i would add, the supercab 4x4 150's also use the sme suspension, but they have a 5 lug 44 and a 9 inch rear, but hsare the same springs and steering box up front
